it feels like this to me

One of the most striking details of  the narco-war in Mexico is what happens to the families and communities of those injured and killed.  In researching these stories, an image kept suggesting itself to me.  When a family loses a child, a husband and father, a wife and mother... it's tempting to believe that the rest of the family will be able to carry on.  Over and over again though, I've read about how individual survivors and entire communities are ill equipped to help each other deal with the loss and terror.  They can barely navigate their own lives, much less help a child or family suffering with the loss.  And there's not enough money or social resources ...
